On a wild streak of ambition, I signed up for the Code Immersion course. I started two weeks ago with a little apprehension mixed with intense excitement. I wasn’t really sure what to expect from the course. I wasn’t really sure what to expect from myself. However, I’ve found that starting a new life thing with little to no preconceived ideas can sometimes produce the most beautiful results.
My experience with a ‘code school’, as my friends call it, has been nothing short of miraculous. It’s hard to describe how good it feels to go through the struggle of learning a new skill. Let me elaborate on what I mean by ‘struggles’ in relation to this course <insert gif of hammer shattering laptop here>. Now let me elaborate on what I mean by ‘good feelings’ in relation to this course <insert new friends, high fives, successful strings, and accomplishment here>. I know that ‘good feelings’ and ‘struggles’ aren’t usually associated, but the fulfillment that comes from throwing my entire self into meaningful work is euphoric.
I have so much more to say about the course and my experience, but I’m holding my thoughts for now until the end. (COME BACK TO THE BLOG FOR THAT!) Just know that I’m two weeks in, high on anticipation, and loving the entire experience.
